POPCAAN & BURNA BOY CONNECT IN FUN VISUALS FOR “ABOBOYAA”

On the heels of releasing his album, Popcaan dropped the official music video of his collaboration with Burna Boy, which is included in his “Great Is He” Album. The project, entitled “Aboboyaa,” is his second joint effort with the Nigerian singer, his first being “Toni-Ann Singh,” which is housed on Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” album.

The 34-year-old dancehall star, born Andre Sutherland, and the 31-year-old “Last Last” present an African music video. “Aboboyaa,” produced by J. Adesnaya, is laced with afrobeat melodies as the entertainers sing about the women of their fantasies and describe their desires

“Aboboyaa” is filled with vibrant colours, from the women’s outfits to the various scenes. Popcaan is first seen driving an Aboboyaa filled with women, and then he is shown standing along the side of a street near parked motor vehicles and a group of people.

Burna Boy first appears in the video singing among palm trees, where he is also grooving and dropping dance moves throughout the song. Meanwhile, Popcaan and some of the women bust dance moves as motorcyclists perform stunts.

“She wanna ride on my aboboyaa, Baby you pretty and you good yah. Mi will give you anything weh you want,” Popcaan sings. Later, Burna Boy is heard singing, “Make I give you love the baby no fighting if I wanted other girls I know where to find dem.”

The music video, directed by Meji Alabi, has amassed over 23,948 views and 4.4k likes on YouTube. In the comment section, one viewer wrote, “Popcaan just always makes great music! 15 years in his career and still make hits and great music! St Thomas Native! Papa Skull! Great Is He!!” Another viewer stated, “Whole album is fire Been on repeat all day.”
