Romeo Miller has been in the news a lot lately in connection with his financial status. While his father, Master P is busy celebrating his cereal wins with Snoop Dogg,

Romeo has been calling out his father for not setting him up for success the way he claims to have in the public. While Romeo has revealed that he is living paycheck to paycheck, it seems all the public discourse has helped him locate some money he was owed for almost 15 years from one of his pops investments.

Romeo Miller partnered with James Lindsay’s Rap Snacks back in their early years for his Bar-B-Quin’ With My Honey variation of their chips. The collaboration proved to be a success, and Rap Snacks are now a successful business with collaborations across the hip-hop landscape, from Fetty Wap to Cardi B to The Migos. While the official Rap Snacks site only listed Romeo as a “limited partner,” Complex reports that he actually purchased the snack food company for an undisclosed amount in 2007. Romeo says the purchases were done by his father, and he never asked to see the contracts, just believed his dad.

When Romeo called out his father, Master P, earlier this week for a post about tWitch, he maintained he was more upset about his father’s lack of support for his sister Tyty when she was still alive. He claimed his father was not whom he seemed behind the scenes and started calling him out for his spending and expensive lifestyle. Master P has been busy promoting his breakfast cereal with Snoop Dogg but took time to express how disappointed he was in his son for making a private matter public and it really just being about money. “This social media rant was never about my daughter. This is about some money. Houses, cars, and jewelry are temporary; you can’t take any of it with you when you die.” Master P says his son is just spoiled and entitled. “Life is too short. People gotta stop being ungrateful and place blame when they’re not where they want to be in life.”

Romeo went on his own page to update fans on the status of his “ownership” and revealed that his father lied to him about the “purchase” of Rap Snack. In the lengthy rant, he said, “I would just like to thank James and Taylor of Rap Snacks for seeking the truth and proper business. This year I will get my first Rap Snacks to check and finally start receiving my earnings from my bags.” He said his father misled him into thinking he would get money later on in life and never let him read his contracts. “I promoted a company for free for 15+ years based on the word of my pops, without being allowed to see any contracts or even meet with the team.” Romeo previously said his father has been exploiting the family to fund his 100k lifestyle. Master P feels like his son is just trying to get sympathy from fans and stated, “mental illness is real.”

Master P recently did an interview with Nino Brown to tell his side of the story. According to Master P, Romeo is 33 years old and has no one to blame. “If I didn’t take care of my son, and he’s been around for thirty-something years, you don’t think he would’ve been doing this?” Master P questioned. The No Limit founder went on to question why Romeo would do something like this to him. “Why would you do this to me? I have laid under killers, and they would never do this to me[..] that’s the part that hurts,” Master P says. The former rapper believes Romeo is old enough to handle his business and briefly mentioned mental illness.

Despite Romeo Miller placing a lot of blame on his father, Master P says he’s not wrong and does not accept it. He also spoke about Romeo choosing the worst time to act out. “It’s about to be Christmas time. Why would you do this to me? After all of that, I’ve done. If I would’ve died in the projects or went to the penitentiary.” Master P compared his relationship with his father, stating, “Even if I and my dad didn’t see eye to eye, he’s always going to win because he put me in this world [..] without him I wouldn’t be here.

After discussing Romeo Miller, Master P mentioned his brother Corey Miller who’s currently behind bars. According to Master P, he’s being blamed for his brother being jail. However, Master P believes he put himself in jail.
