Blaqbonez takes swipe at Wizkid over his controversial statement about rap music.
Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has responded to Wizkid following his statement about rap music being ‘dead’. The rapper responded to the controversy via his Twitter handle on Friday (December 2).
Recall that Grammy award-winning artist Wizkid had called rap a ‘dead genre’ during his recent interview with 10+ Magazine. ‘That shit (rap) is boring to me, he said to the interviewer.
In response to Wizkid’s statement, Blaqbonez took to Twitter and shared a selfie with a caption that read, ‘I’m not dead, I’m handsome.
In a follow-up tweet, the young rapper also stated that his latest hip-hop album Young Preacher did very well across all available streaming platforms. ‘Rap isn’t dead, not the most sort after genre, but dead? NOOOOOOOO’, he concluded.
