Duchess Fragrance: Singer Nomcebo Zikode Launches her new own fragrance

Award-winning singer and songwriter Nomcebo Zikode has finally had her dream come through after launching her all-new Fragrance, Duchess which came with three scents, Glamazon, Radiance, and Royal.

A passion she had since childhood to become an entrepreneur has been fulfilled. Nomcebo Zikode in an interview with a local publication stated that never in her wildest dream did she think one day she will have her own fragrance even though she have a passion to become an entrepreneur.

Nomcebo Zikode also stated that she turned to losing focus on her entrepreneurial dreams when she started out in the music industry because all her focus was music.“This is because when I started out in the industry, my only focus was music, and that is all that I knew and wanted to be – a singer. But years down the line I realized that I’ve been limiting myself and I can be whatever I want to be, being a musician shouldn’t be my only focus,” Nomcebo said.

Explaining the source of her passion for the fragrance business, Nomcebo confessed how she used to steal her parent’s perfumes just to smell good and this lit up the desire in her for the fragrance business.

“I used to steal my parents’ perfume while growing up. I love smelling good and this is because I believe having a good scent says a lot about you, explains who you are to people, and makes a statement on your behalf and that is what we want to achieve with our fragrance,” she said.

The Xola Moya Wam’ singer revealed that the scent had been in the works for months and that she had to fit it all into her hectic schedule while traveling across the world.

“To be honest, it wasn’t easy at all. But all the back and forth was worth it. I love the outcome of everything and I believe that consumers are going to as well because we have tried our best to come up with something different that is not in the market – and I was hands-on, so whatever I touch turns into gold,” she said.
