Burna Boy, Wizkid wins Grammy Awards.

The 63rd Grammy Awards is being held in Los Angeles Convention Center. Past Grammy Awards have been said to be ¨music biggest night¨as the ceremony is being watched from all over the globe. This year´s celebration however is different because of the corona pandemic. There is no audience and the performers on that day have been separated onto 5 stages to maintain the required social distancing.

The 2021 Grammy awards were hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah and what a night it was for 2 of Nigeria´s very own artist Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Burna Boy whose real name is Damini Ogulu who have been nominated for a second consecutive year, won the Best Global Music Album category with his Twice As Tall album.

Accepting the win virtually, Burna Boy said it was a big win for his generation of Africans around the world and a lesson to every African out there that they can achieve anything.

Wizkid got hold of the Grammy´s ¨Best Music Video¨ for his song collaboration with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album.

Wizkid’s Best Music Video win was described as “a feast for the fashion-forward and a celebration of Black and brown female beauty everywhere”.
